This year has been a sure year of changes and this Thanksgiving was no different. We usually gather at our uncle & aunt’s house (she’s an outstanding cook!) but this year she needed to be on the east coast w/ her family, so for a quick second, Thanksgiving was tenuous. Then I jumped in to commandeer the ship.
No, I didn’t cook, are you kidding? We had it catered and hosted at our house. This allowed me to use my time doing I’m best at- making things beautiful!
Two trips to World Market, one to Trader Joe’s, some snipping of flowers from our yard, and a little fabric glue and upholstery trim and my first Thanksgiving tablescape was born- so much fun!
Uncle Alan!!
A crisis averted (our Uncle said I ‘saved Thanksgiving’- perhaps an overstatement, but I’ll take it!!), photo opportunities garnered, and a wonderful evening was had by all. Oh, and the food was really good, too…

Even when you cater, there's still a lot of cleaning up to do!
